How Are They Finding You?

When is the last time you used a Yellow Pages book?

While the various telephone advertising businesses are working hard to maintain their relevance by adding on-line directory services, web sites, and mobile apps to their repertoire, the truth is that the paper Yellow Pages is on death watch. After all, compared with typing a search into your favorite search engine, looking something up in a Yellow Pages is actually painful. I remember back when I used to use the Yellow Pages that it wasn’t uncommon to look in 3 or 4 categories before I found the group of businesses I was trying to find.

Today, it seldom takes more than one or two searches.

Plus, with the new focus on local results that the search engines have been adding, the relevance of the results is greater than ever.

As a result of this trend, it’s important for you to rethink how your customers and prospects are finding you. And when they do find you, what do they find?

From local search to mobile marketing and a number of options in-between, there are ways to reach and engage with your customers and prospects. It’s a new game, so it’s the best time to begin.
